Our Purpose

We invite all current and former Scouts, leaders, parents, other adults, and anyone ever associated with Camp Lenape to relive and share with us their experiences. You might want to think about the activities at summer camp - the program areas, the new friends you made, the inspiration to continue serving Scouting as a Camp Staff member, or as an OA member, or an adult leader. You might have thought about sitting at a picnic table under a tree with others talking over the days activities or reminiscing about the "good old days." Whatever it is, share your thoughts with us.

Many years from now, future Scouts will be able to look at this website and see a past that was the foundation of fun, excitement, adventure, and life-lasting friendship that was so much a part of Scout camping in Burlington County. It is out intention to present to all visitors a brief story of our camp, from it's beginning to it's end. It would take volumes upon volumes of information to relive our heritage.

Certainly, all of the Founding Fathers of the camp and many of the first campers and staff members are all gone now. Fortunately we were able to capture some of their legends, experiences, and traditions that continued to be with us until the final days of the camp and the reservation. Those of us that were Camp Staff Members throughout the years had the pleasure and unique experience of passing the torch from our Founding Fathers and original Camp Staff Members down thru the years to the final Camp Staff Members, campers, and leaders. All of the generations from beginning to end shared a special brotherhood that can only be felt and will always be remembered and cherished.
